Sustainability
In our view, sustainable investing means more than curating a portfolio of stocks, mutual funds, and ETF’s that are labeled sustainable by investment companies. Sustainability is a philosophy that is woven throughout our firm. We are concerned with your overall well-being and we know that when you have a solid financial plan and a sense of security, it is likely that your life is sustainable.
At WatersEdge Wealth Management we believe incorporating a values-driven sustainable portfolio completes the picture. From this place you can begin thinking about your philanthropic legacy; providing for causes you care about, leaving the planet better than you found it, and leaving a lasting impact on those you love and your community.

SUSTAINABLE YOU
Sustainability starts with you, a sustainable you. When you have a financial plan that is risk-assessed and value-based, you live with a greater sense of security. This enables you to be more confident in taking care of your today as well as your tomorrow. You are living from a more peaceful space, a space from which to vision a more sustainable world.

SUSTAINABLE INVESTING
A sustainable investment has an SRI/ESG rating (Socially Responsible/Environmental, Social & Governance). The SRI/ESG rating provides the data to discern the level of commitment an investment or company has to social conscious principles. Consideration is given to the environment in which companies do business, the impact these companies have on the social fabric where they do business, and whether they choose leadership and board members who come from diverse communities. As socially conscious investors demand more transparency from companies, our hope is that sustainable investing will one day be the status quo.

SUSTAINABLE LEGACY
A sustainable legacy starts with the decisions you make today; how you care for yourself, invest your money, and think about the future. It includes philanthropic decisions regarding the transfer of your values and wealth to family members, organizations, and the causes that you cherish most. A comprehensive plan that includes your vision of your legacy provides the platform for you to think beyond this moment, towards future generations.
Social Responsible Investing (SRI)/ Environmental Social Governance (ESG) investing has certain risks based on the fact that the criteria excludes securities of certain issuers for non-financial reasons and, therefore, investors may forgo some market opportunities and the universe of investments available will be smaller.
